T-OpenID Research Project
T-OpenID is an identity management solution consisting of an OpenID server based on Turbogears Python web framework and a Firefox browser add-on. The server extends standard OpenID functionality through secure communication between the server and the browser plug-in without resorting to SSL. It is primarily intended as a research testbed and in the future as a privacy-preserving solution for individuals and small businesses.
Since this is part of a research project, the focus -until now- has been on a basic implementation of the server-client communication and laying the foundation for future secure digital identity management services.
We welcome researchers and coders for scientific collaboration in "open source" and "open research" spirit!
